Recently, we were featured by Sportello Imprese Unlock, which shared a video of our co-founder and Technical Director, Stefano Linari, discussing the company’s story and international projects.
Company and Mission
“We focus on visual tele-rehabilitation using patented medical devices, artificial intelligence, and cloud platforms,” explains Stefano Linari, co-founder and CTO.
“Our technology helps people who have become visually impaired due to stroke, head trauma, or brain injury to live better, all from the comfort of their home.”
The project originated from a collaboration with the physicians at Fondazione Stella Maris in Pisa, who nearly twenty years ago discovered hidden brain plasticity in certain areas and the potential to stimulate them to improve vision. Linari Medical developed the technology needed to make this clinical approach scalable and practical.
International Experience: Toscana Tech on the Road - San Francisco
Participation in Toscana Tech on the Road in San Francisco gave the company insight into the U.S. healthcare market and enabled collaborations with California universities. These partnerships are essential for clinical testing leading to FDA approval, a crucial step for bringing the device to the U.S. market.
Linari Medical plans to open a branch in the USA once the certification is complete, expanding its international presence and helping to bring innovative Italian technologies to global contexts.
