XI PRISMA National Congress 2024
On March 9 and 10, 2024, the 11th PRISMA National Congress, which awards 15 CME credits, will be held in Florence, Italy, aimed at ophthalmologists, orthoptists and opticians.
On March 9 and 10, 2024, the 10th PRISMA National Congress entitled “Ipovisione e dintorni” will be held in Florence, Italy, at the Centro Congressi Hotel Mediterraneo.
The congress is aimed at ophthalmologists, orthoptists, ophthalmologists, opticians, and psychologists who work as a team to care for and empower the patient with severe visual impairment.
The program includes 3 plenary sessions and 12 single-topic courses and is spread over two educational days awarding 15 CME credits.
Plenary sessions will address these main themes:
- Glaucoma: warning bells, therapies and rehabilitation
- Pediatric low vision: evaluation, causes, and treatments
- Optical aids: solutions, supply, and future
We report the talk by Dr. Federico Bartolomei, during the course “Rehabilitation in Glaucoma” on the morning of March 9, entitled “Training with AvDesk in the presence of visual field narrowing deficits“.
The psychological aspects that condition visual perception of the world around us and the multidisciplinary approach to hyposivision by the Società Mediterranea di Ortottica will not be overlooked.
