Gamma oscillations induced by 40-Hz visual-auditory stimulation for the treatment of acute-phase limb motor rehabilitation after stroke: Study protocol for a prospective randomized controlled trial
This study aims to conduct a prospective clinical trial to validate the safety and efficacy of gamma oscillations induced by 40 Hz visual-auditory stimulation in the treatment of post-stroke upper limb dysfunction and to explore the related mechanisms.
Results
Gamma neuronal oscillations, in the frequency range between 30 and 100 Hz, play a crucial role in processes such as neural plasticity, neural circuits, and information transmission.
Stimulation of gamma oscillations within this frequency range has been shown to promote the recovery of brain functions.
This trial is expected to provide evidence on the efficacy of this new technique in treating upper limb dysfunction after stroke and in improving patients' quality of life.
