Multisensory training with telerehabilitation for brain-damaged children with visual field defects

Develop a new rehabilitation method based on audio-visual stimulation of the visual field in patients with visual deficits due to brain lesions. Verify that the improvements obtained from this rehabilitation training are lasting over time.
The patient sits 70 cm in front of the device. While maintaining fixation at the center, they must direct their gaze toward the presented stimuli and signal detection by pressing a button. Unimodal visual stimuli, unimodal auditory stimuli, and bimodal stimuli (audio+sound both spatially and temporally coincident and non-coincident) are presented. 4 hours of treatment per day (non-consecutive) for 2 weeks.
The results showed progressive improvement in visual identification abilities during treatment and improvement in oculomotor movement sufficient to compensate for the visual deficit.
The improvements were also reported in activities of daily living and remained stable in the follow-up conducted after 1 month.
